Introducing: Peru Mendoza Single‑Origin Classic

We believe every bean carries a story, from the farm to your cup, and that ethically sourced, specialty-grade coffee isn’t just about flavour, it’s about connection, sustainability, and integrity.
This coffee from the Rodriguez de Mendoza region of Peru is a shining example. Grown in some of Peru’s highest-altitude regions, where volcanic soils and cool mountain air slow the maturation of beans, this coffee develops complexity, clarity, and balance that’s hard to beat.
What to Expect from the Peru Mendoza
In the cup, expect: Bright yet gentle citrus or stone fruit acidity, Balanced body with hints of chocolate, caramel, and nutty warmth. Subtle floral or honeyed sweetness with a clean finish
Every sip feels refined but inviting, uniquely expressive of Peru’s highland terroir and our mindful roast.
Why Peruvian Coffee Shines
Altitude & Soil
The high elevations of Peru gift the beans with vibrant acidity, aromatic depth, and nuanced sweetness. The volcanic soil, rich in minerals like potassium and magnesium, infuses the plants with the substances that translate into flavour, think lively fruit, gentle cocoa notes, and a smooth, balanced body.
Organic, Ethical, and Eco‑Conscious
Peru’s smallholder farms and cooperatives often use organic, shade-grown methods, promoting biodiversity, protecting ecosystems, and ensuring fairness. Many beans, like this one, are Rainforest Alliance–certified, part of our commitment to climate-positive practices.
A Cup That’s Clean and Captivating
Peruvian coffee is often processed via the washed method, yielding a clean, crisp cup that highlights bright acidity and clear flavour notes, from floral and fruity to nutty and chocolatey.
Brewing Tips for Home
Make the most of these vibrant beans with a few thoughtful steps:
Grind Fresh by Method
Medium-coarse for French press; medium-fine for pour-over; fine for espresso. This optimizes extraction for clean, balanced flavour.
Use Clean, Hot Water
Filtered water at 90–96 °C (195–205 °F) Extracts full flavour without bitterness.
Stick to a Balanced Ratio Try 1:16 (coffee:water) by weight for filter or pour-over; 18–19 g for 250 ml. A consistent starting point then tweak to your taste from here.
Respect Brew Time 2.5–4 minutes for pour-over; 4 minutes for French press; 25–30 seconds extraction for espresso which is the Ideal extraction time for clarity and richness.
Store with Care
Keep whole beans in an airtight container, cool, dark place—grind only when needed Preserves freshness, aroma, and flavour longer.
