By choosing Northside Coffee you are helping us to plant trees in the countries where our coffee is grown. Preventing deforrestation and planting more trees is a key strategy for climate change. We have now moved to purchasing only Rainforest Alliance Certified coffees for all our espresso blends and have become a 'climate positive business, planting 1 tree with every sale and donating to climate change projects each month, rreduce carbon pollution and offsetting our carbon footprint.

Our contribution to the RFA helps protect forests but also to improve livelihoods of farmers and their communities, promote their human rights and develop sustainable practices. You can find more detail about the RFA projects here.

Everything we roast is speciality grade, which puts it into the top 3% of the total global coffee consumption. These are coffees that are grown in special and ideal conditions and require more attention to detail to produce a higher quality end product. This makes it more expensive for us to buy but the farmers recieve a better price for their effort resulting in a better standard of living.

WHY IS CLIMATE CHANGE IMPORTANT TO US ?

The coffee plants needs special conditions to grow. As pollution levels warm the planet the areas where coffee can grow is shrinking. We are doing our bit to fight against this by planting trees with every order and supporting climate change projects every month.
