Description

Discover Sweet Valley, an exceptional Colombian single origin coffee from the legendary Café Granja La Esperanza, one of Colombia’s most respected specialty coffee producers. This micro-lot comes from the historic Finca Potosí farm in the Valle del Cauca region, grown at high altitude and processed with precision and care to unlock naturally vibrant sweetness and juicy complexity.

This coffee underwent a 72-hour open-air fermentation to slowly unfold and release the fruit’s deepest aromatic layers and setting the stage for a coffee bursting with character. The cherries were then gently dried in mechanical silos at 38 °C for 8–12 days. Once moisture was balanced, they were rested in climate-controlled storage at 18–19 °C, preserving their vibrancy.

Cultivated on a farm with decades of innovation in quality coffee farming, this lot reflects both terroir and tradition. Finca Potosí has roots going back generations, and over time the family behind Granja La Esperanza has become known for producing high-grade specialty lots with rigorous quality control and varietal diversity.

  • Most of our coffees are suitable for all brew methods. Some will shine more brewed certain ways but that is ultimatley down to your own personal preference. However you chose to brew your coffee always make sure your using fresh beans, weigh the amount of coffee your using, time your brew and weigh the yield of your coffee.

A guide for home double espresso could be to use 18.5g of coffee, and extract in 25-30 seconds for a yield of 35-40ml.

A guide for home filter coffee could be to use 19g of coffee, brewed in 3-4 minutes with a yield of 250ml of water.

Once you have these or any other starting point you can then experiment and adjust your recipe to acheive the taaste you want. For example, for a slightly strong cup use more coffee or try a lower yield amount.
