Filter / V60,
made simple.
A clean cup with room for the details.
15 g coffee · 250 g water · around 3 minutes
Grind: Medium-fineLet’s make a cup.
This is our simple starting recipe for a small V60. Timing varies with the coffee, filter and grind. Use taste to guide your next brew.
Rinse and weigh
Fit a paper filter, rinse it with hot water and discard the rinse water. Add 15 g coffee and place the brewer on scales.
Start gently
Pour 45 g water evenly over the grounds and wait around 30 seconds.
Keep pouring
Add water slowly in a few gentle pours until the scales show 250 g total. Keep the water below the rim.
Let it drain
Allow the water to drain through, remove the brewer and taste. If the brew is very fast and thin, try finer; if it is very slow and harsh, try coarser.
