When your morning cup connects with nature
At Northside Coffee, we believe a truly great coffee should taste good and do good. That’s why, when you choose our sustainably sourced beans, you’re also contributing to meaningful climate action.
This July, we’re shining a spotlight on the Dumyat Reforestation & Habitat Restoration project near Stirling, Scotland. This initiative is a partnership between Ecologi and The Future Forest Company, bringing trees, wildlife, and hope back to the Ochil Hills.

🌲 What’s happening at Dumyat?
Massive native tree planting
Over 330,000 native trees, including Scots pine, oak, and hazel, have been planted to date. This effort is transforming former grasslands into vibrant woodlands.
Wildflower & wetland recovery
Volunteers have reintroduced rare species, such as common rockrose, sticky catchfly, and the Northern Brown Argus butterfly, after a century of absence.
Holistic habitat approach
The project revives ancient ponds, restores wetland scrapes for wildlife, combats invasive gorse, and promotes pollinator-rich meadows.
Carbon capture in action
These forests will lock away tens of thousands of tonnes of CO₂ over the next century. This makes your coffee habit genuinely carbon positive.
Community at its heart
Local volunteers, Stirling University students, and community events have been integral to planting and monitoring efforts.
